Who we are...
Pranati was sparked off to patronize and promote talent at home. As the works on it began, the team of like minded people formed, the family of Pranati was built, details were worked on, the cause of Pranati grew bigger. Today, Pranati's objectives include contributing to Kannada literature and Carnatic music but not limited to it. It plans on a host of activities to spread its message; concern to the culture and environment, in its own ways. Pranati was lighted on Feb 10, 2008 and was blessed by loved ones. The first book from Pranati – "Chitrachaapa" spreads the awareness about our environment in its own unique style. It is also a first of its kind in the kannada literature field as it combines short essays, poems and travelogues written by five young writers, complimented by sketches. The book was released by Prof GV on the same day as the launch of Pranati.
Pranati organized the first ever kannada bloggers and internet users meet where the turn out exceeded the expectations owing to which a lot of changes had to be made to the planned schedule of the event. The event was a huge success, participation from most of kannada internet users, well known personalities marked the event. A report about the meet is available here.
